Exporting a .CSV file with Quotes and/or Commas from the Requirement Grid to import into Excel
Exporting a .CSV file from the Requirement Grid for an import into
Excel creates a problem when quotes or commas are in the
Requirement Description. In the exported .CSV file, commas or
quotes separate objects and place them in separate columns in Excel
(ie. Requirement ID, Requirement Name).
If there are any commas or quotes within the Requirement
Description, the description gets separated into different columns
1. Open the Requirement Grid within the CaliberRM client.
2. Choose "File > Print".
3. Chose "Print Preview". This will open up the preview
in Internet Explorer
4. Right-click somewhere within table shown in the preview and
choose "Export to Microsoft Excel"
Excel will open and the descriptions with the commas and quotes
will properly be within their own cells.
