IMPORTANT NOTICE: As of 21 February, anything posted in this community WILL NOT BE MIGRATED to our new community site. We have pulled all user information and data from this site and are now in an approximately week long process of importing users, roles, and data to our new site. We are leaving this site open and active so you can post and hopefully get a response until the migration is complete. Once complete, the URL that currently takes you to this site will take you to our new site so your bookmarks will work as always. Please read the information on a New Login Process
When creating a frame file for a Browser the URL is not listed in the new frame dialog. Also any frame file created for the Browser page is not recognized as a BrowserChild.
This happens even if the extensions are enabled correctly and everything seems to be OK
SilkTest uses a DLL called qaphooks.dll. This is loaded into memory when you start SilkTest, however the version of this DLL must be compatible with the SilkTest version that is installed,
It is possible to have multiple registry entries for the qaphooks.dll, which means that even after re-installing SilkTest, an incompatible one may loaded into memory and used.
Sometimes there may be entries in the TEMP or TMP folders from past installations, as well as the one in WINNT/SYSTEM32 folder, and all of them can be registered.
What to do:-
1) Uninstall SilkTest (delete the SilkTest folder) 2) Reboot the machine (this ensures that the qaphooks.dll is not loaded) 3) Find every qaphooks.dll on the machine and delete them all. 4) Reboot the machine. 5) Install SilkTest, then any patches and test.
