Problem:

If your web browser based application opens up multiple random popup browser windows and this is causing you dificulties maintaining and/or attaching to the correct object maps during runtime.

e.g.
WebBrowser
WebBrowser[1]
WebBrowser[2]
WebBrowser[3]
WebBrowser[4]
etc...

Resolution:

You may be able to resolve this issue by changing the way you record your scripts, under the record options change:

Tools>Options>Expand Record>select xBrowser> and type into the Custom attributes: caption
Tools>Options>Expand Record>select Win32> and type into the Custom attributes: caption

This last setting/option will force the "WebBrowser" item name creation (which is a Win32 window) to use the caption instead of instance index values, in other words when using the caption property to attach/find a control/window, if the control/window in cause appears as another instance of the application, silktest should always locate the control/window by caption.
