[Migrated content. Thread originally posted on 02 September 2004]I am about to begin a project to integrate the Volcollect Talkman T2 voice terminals to our Warehouse Management software.
These terminals are network clients that will connect to the unix server using sockets. They have no screen or keyboard. The operator will 'wear' a headset and microphone. Rather than displaying instructions the WMS will instruct the T2 terminals to 'say' instructions, to which the operator will respond with simple voiced responses.
I am hoping to use the C$Socket library to manage the communication sessions.
If anyone has any experience of using the Vocollect terminals then I will be grateful for any advice/ guidance or otherwise that is offered.
