ChangeMan ZMF cli plugin for zowe - Version 2 coming shortly

Version 2 of the ZMF cli plugin for Zowe provides support for Zowe V2. To install an advance version of Zowe V2, please visit the Zowe website location Zowe VNext
Zowe V2 is scheduled to be generally available at the end of February 2022. A version of the ChangeMan ZMF cli plugin for Zowe Version 2 is available and if you are interested in receiving this version  - please let us know by responding to this thread.
Installing zowe V2 and then installing the ZMF cli plugin V2, will enable the features that are available within zowe V2. This includes:
- Support for daemon mode
Daemon mode preloads node modules and improves performance when issuing mulitple zowe commands.
Daemon mode is enabled by issuing the command:
zowe daemon enable

Once enabled, daemon mode will remain in effect across system restarts until it is subsequently disabled.

Should you at any future time wish to disable daemon mode, issue the command:
zowe daemon disable

which will then display a command prompt to disable daemon mode fully. Issue that command to then disable daemon mode completely.
- Support for Team profiles
This is a major change to Zowe V2. Previously each Zowe cli subsytem (z/OSMF,TSO, CICS, DB2 ZMF etc) required its own profile. In the case of ZMF, this would require a separate profile file to be created for each ZMF subsystem.
A single Team profile can now be created and fully configured by an Admin and distributed to colleagues. This removes the need for each individual user to create a profile and removes the need to know URL's, port numbers, protocols etc.
Userids and passwords are no longer saved in clear text in the Team profile and are instead stored encrypted in the Operating Systems credential storage.

A Team profile can also be created to isolate subsytem profiles by LPAR. For further information on Team profiles, refer to the supplied material Zowe Team Profiles  and  Zowe Migration

The V2 version the ZMF cli plugin for Zowe V2 will support the older V1 profiles but be aware that V1 profiles are deprecated and support will be removed in future ZMF cli plugin updates.
The presence of a Team profile will take precedence over any existing V1 profiles.

An example Team profile will be provided in this forum for you to review and use as a possible template for your own environment.

Can I get ChangeMan ZMF cli plugin for Zowe Version 2?

No as  zowe V2 is not yet released GA. We have no control over when zowe V2 will be released other than it is imminent.

    +1

Zowe V2 availability was planned for April 25th but has been further delayed.  Please refer to the zowe.org website for details as to when this will now be released.
Updated versions of the ChangeMan ZMF cli plugin for Zowe V2 and also the ChangeMan ZMF Explorer will be available to support zowe V2 profiles once we  have completed testing against the final GA build of zowe V2.

Going forward only zowe V2 profiles will be supported due to the much improved security of credentials used in the new profiles.
