ZMF Explorer - ZOSMF - Security Credentials

Hi,

Yesterday I ran in some kind of deadlock situation (at least I think)

- the ZMF Explorer uses the old fashioned way of userid and password

- ZOSMF has been implemented using MFA

In VS Code they both use underneath the Credentials Manager of ZOWE

When I logon to ZMF, zooms is not working and when I connect to zosmf the ZMF Explorer isn't working

Is there a way to have both plugins working with different security credentials

Thank you

Best regards

Johan

ZMF Explorer uses the zowe Teams profile which makes use of secure credentials for userid and password.

There are no plans to have the ZMF Explorer use some other credentials. When you say that when you connect to z/OSMF that "ZMF explorer is not working", please provide more specific details as to what exactly is not working.    Have you got the ZMF tree displayed or are you simply starting the ZMF Explorer initially by clicking the ZMF icon and nothing then happens etc?

    Hi David,

Sorry for this late reply, but some other stuff had priority so I had to stop the study of Vs Code. OK, I now better understand how the Security Credentials are managed and I have been able to have the ZMF Explore and the zooms plugin working with different Security Credentials. So all works fine now, except one small thing, but I issue another question for that so that it doesn't clutter this thread.

    Best regards
