Query about support for OpenSSL 1.1.1

Hello Support Team,

 

There is new version of Openssl i.e. Openssl 3.0 available.  

We are using Openssl version 1.1.1 in our project and need to know that if Visibroker will continue its support towards Openssl 1.1.1 as well till year 2030.

Also, Let us know which version of Visibroker provides support for openssl 3.0 version.

    VIsiBroker 8.5 currently ships OpenSSL 1.1.1 based release for TLS support. Development is currently evaluating the 3.0 release of OpenSSL for future VB 8.5 releases but there is no official statement available at this time for any plans to ship security based on 3.0 in lieu of the current 1.1.1 release. Development is committed to support the OpenSSL 1.1.1 version on 8.5.8 with future hotfixes but over time my understanding is the newer releases are most likely moving to 3.0 and that would be the version maintained on those releases going forward.  If you have specific needs or questions of our CORBA development team based on commercial agreements or commitments you should open a support ticket for any official requests with OpenText support at https://portal.microfocus.com.
