One day, when I started the visibroker, the status of NAMESERV appeared as ABNORMAL.

As you can see, even the makefile_java did not work.
I would like to know the cause of this. Do you have any guesses?
I think It is suspected that the issue is due to a port number conflict on the equipment where Visibroker is installed.
Or, if there is something more we need to investigate to solve this problem,
please let me know and I will try it. Thank you.

Visibroker's version is 8.5 CORE PROD, Developement.

          Thank you for reaching out to the OpenText CORBA community for help with your VisiBroker 8.5 issue. If you suspect the naming service is not starting properly due to a port confict you can manually start the service using the specified port using the command shown on page 208:

    To force the VisiNaming Service to start on a particular port, the VisiNaming Service must be started with the following command line option:

    prompt> nameserv -JDvbroker.se.iiop_tp.scm.iiop_tp.listener.port=12345

    As for the makefile problem building the bank_agent java example, please see the terminal screen image below:

    Probably a result of not sourcing the vbroker.sh command to set all the needed environment variables for VB 8.5 development and runtime.

    Thank you for providing the response. We tried the test as per your instructions but it failed. Here's what we thought:

    The computer has a Registration key of 1234567. Using this key along with the Serial Number, a reg1923.txt License file was generated and placed in the License folder. After backing up the reg file and deleting Visibroker, it was reinstalled without changing the Registration key. If the backed-up reg1923.txt file is placed back into the License folder, will Visibroker function properly?
