Netexpress 5.0, also 5.1 on Windows11 22H2 not running?

Do you have make the same experience?

I have installed the new windows 11 version 22H2 and here the version of Netexpress 5.0 or 5.1 don't run,

I think that the license information have been removed during installation, than i found a directory windows.old and a new window directory on c:

Are there hidden files from Microfocus under this directory? and not in the registry?

Who can help ore have the same or other experience?

Development is no longer being done for Net Express except for severe bug fixes. Visual COBOL is the supported upgrade path for newer operating systems.

Although Net Express is definately not supported by Micro Focus on this OS, I was able to install NX 5.1 on a Windows 11 22H2 machine and it ran fine. Since you have a windows.old directory, I am assuming that you upgraded to this OS from a previous OS. That might have corrupted the license. Like I mentioned NX is not support there.

Have you been able to get the license back yet?

Yes, Chris! i get the license back!

Many customers hope for a new service pack for netexpress5.x to works without problems on win11! This will be great!
