My current licenses for Visual Cobol Personal Edition and Visual Studio Community Edition are due for renewal very shortly. Under the new arrangements with Rocket Software are there any changes to the licensing of VCPE (with VS2022)?
TIA

Hi Paolo,
Rocket Software will continue to offer Visual COBOL Personal Edition, but there is likely to be a period where it is unavailable from the website. An interim solution to provide a new key to existing users is already underway, and it will be announced as soon as it is ready.
Hope this helps.

OK Fano. Look forward to hearing when VC PE is available.
The Visual COBOL PE for Visual Studio 2022 product is currently (but for a limited time only!) still available for download from the OpenText web site here. This could go away at any time as we are in the middle of transitioning this to Rocket so you should download this immediately.
Thanks

Thanks for the heads up. If I remember correctly I have to uninstall my expired copy of VC PE and install the new version. Do I also have to uninstall/reinstall VS 2022?
You do not need to reinstall Visual Studio 2022 but it should be updated to the latest version.
You should uninstall the current Visual COBOL product and the Micro Focus License Manager (which is not automatically uninstalled with the product uninstall) and then install the new product and add the new license using the MF License Administration Tool.
