As the Product Manager for GroupWise, I am pleased to announce the release of GroupWise 18.4.1. This release is now live and should be available for download in the customer center. We encourage all customers to upgrade to the latest version for the latest updates and fixes. If you are having issues downloading the latest version, please open an SR with our support team or post on the community forums so we can help and address the problem. For those of you looking for GroupWise Web 18.4.1, that will become available in the first part of August.
If you are part of our Tech Preview group, you can see the new features even earlier. In order to facilitate more frequent releases, to deliver you more features for Web, we are going to be releasing the GroupWise Web application three times per year, rather than two. This means you expect even more great things from Web, and more often. Read white paper.
Because this is a service pack release, it’s focus is on stability and bug squashing. This further enhances the features from GroupWise 18.4. Some of the key items from that release include:
- Alternate From addresses
- Folder colors in the Client
- Emojis in messages
- Print using default browser
- Mailbox Management features were brought directly into the administration console
In addition to the GroupWise core, we are building on the GroupWise Web application. We continue to bring in features that GroupWise has been known for. Here are some of the best for 18.4:
- Reply Format Settings
- Contact Management
- Print Support
- Signature selection in compose
- Global Signatures
- View multiple open items
- Maximize the windows
GroupWise Web 18.4.1 will continue to fill out the Contact Management feature set by delivering:
- Multiple Item Section from list
- Copy & Move items from one Address book to another
- Add/change/remove a contact’s picture
- Create/edit/delete a group
- Create a contact on mobile devices
- View images in the address book
Finally, the GroupWise Mobility Service team has been busy adding features. These include, Appointment “Busy Search”, MCheck Enhancements, Remote Account Wipe, and Security updates.
Looking forward, GW Web 18.4.1 hits next month, and its follow-up, 18.4.2 toward the end of the year. The teams are already planning 18.5 which you can look forward to in the first half of 2023.
