Timestamps Corrupted on NET Folder Sync

When you use the Desktop FILR application...

1) Copy files from your local workstation into the FILR folders..
2) Let them sync up to the server.
3) Notice that the files will be synced up to the server, then in a few minutes they'll sync back down.
4) When they sync back down the timestamp of the files will have changed to the time when the initial sync took place. It does not preserve the original timestamp.

This is a big problem.

It looks to me like the FILR app corrupts the timestamp during the initial sync up to the server.. because the timestamp on the server is also that of approximately the same time that the sync took place.. The it appears that it thinks its a new / updated file, so it syncs the 'new' copy back down to the desktop app.

  • I am getting the same problem with Syncing to my Filer home drive that is on a Novell OES2sp3 NSS share.
1)To get the error I add new file's to the Filer folder on my computer.
2)They sync up to the server.
3)On next sync with the server the new files download again from the server back to desktop with a new time date

Here is a look at my event log my my desktop

  • Hi!,

    We experience the same thing.

Plus: If you have the file still open on the client when the 'wrong' update
from the server back to the clients happens you even get sync errors. Very
    ugly....
