no connection to search appliance

Hi Pros,

after having got that following Nagios message, I couldn't further login to the search-appliance, getting a
"secure connection failed".
Service: Tungsten HTTPSHost:
Filr-IndexAddress: IP der Search-App
State: CRITICAL
Additional Info: CRITICAL - Socket timeout after 10 seconds
Reaching it and logging to the vm is even possible as over SSH.

The result is not to be able to logon to the Filr-appliance. A guest-login is possible.

Our environment (all vms)

2 Filr-Apps 1.1.0.668
1 Search-App 1.1.0.820
1 MySql-App 1.1.0.382

It seems to be a little problem, but I couldn't find any tips in the logs.

Please help me I'm falling (but not in love with filr) again

Many thanks

Have you checked if the filesystem is full or is there free space left?
Have something change, firewall rules, network changes etc?
Looked at all the logs: https://www.novell.com/documentation/novell-filr-1-1/filr-1-1_admin/data/b14fs2fu.html ?
Tried a different browser? Have you tried rebooting the filr system?

  • Hi Thomas,

thanks for the reply and sorry for my late reaction, but the problem is solved.
All things that you proposed we had had done before without any success.
So we needed Novell support and now it's ok again - don't know why.

    So long
