users not seeing folders for which they have rights

Setup 2 users in addition to myself to do some testing before making
this available. These two users see one Net Folder - they should see
all five. In that one Net Folder, they only see some of the folders
on that server. I can see everything I should see. What would be
limiting them?

  • Ken,
I have seen this in a couple of instances when in beta. Most of the time was when the Net Server is created, and the proxy doesn't have all the rights, or it was a large set of folders and took time for the Filr system to cache the folder locations. I've also seen it where it just took some time for the user who logged in needing to sync. You should be able to tail the catalina.out file and see what is going on with that users sync.
This may give you a starting point.

A little more info....appears that if the user account has been given
rights to a folder, they can see it. If the user account belongs to a
group and the group has rights to the folder, they cannot see it.

I found that groups weren't syncing over to Filr, so I made the
necessary change for that, but users still cannot see folders based on
    group membership.

You may need to go and manually resync the NF now that you've imported
the groups. Did you also import group memberships BTW?

Manual sync seems to have kicked it off. Folders are appearing.
