Multiple Relay Hosts

Hi,

We have multiple internet domains setup in our system (@example1.com, @ex2.org, etc). Right now we only have one Internet Agent which sends all outbound messages to a particular relay host. Is it possible to send outbound emails to a different relay host based on the internal users preferred internet domain?

Thanks
Jeremy

Not with only one GWIA, no.

  • So what would be the proper setup? Would we need to create a new post office for just these users and then point the office to a new internet agent?

Well, "proper" is debatable here. I would personally avoid the whole
setup (I avoid outbound relay hosts, and I'd certainly avoid multiple of
    them based on sending domain).

If I absolutely had to do what you plan to do, I would put my own
smarthost in front of GWIA which would sort the outgoing mail.
