Anti-virus holding files open

Hi again: In testing the auto-update to GW Client 14.2.2 I am getting prompted that our anti-virus program, Kaspersky, is holding some files open and asks to either stop Kaspersky or ignore and then reboot. Tis happens twice during my test upgrade. Besides confusing my end users, I want to do the upgrade completely silent. In testing the silent upgrade option the upgrade process never completes, presumably due to the anti-virus dialogs not being displayed.

I'm curious if anyone else has run into this problem, and how did you overcome it?? Chris.

Regarding Kaspersky, or any antivirus program for that matter, you need to
ensure that it doesn't scan your cashing mailbox. You may also want to make
sure it doesn't scan your GroupWise directory.

You should create a Kaspersky policy to exclude those directories.

I'm not sure that you can do a silent install of the GroupWise Client.
Others have tried but there are still some situations where the install
    wants to create a dialogue.

You should be able to set Kaspersky to ignore the GW client directory.

It works fine for me using the instructions found here:
    https://www.novell.com/documentation/groupwise2014r2/gw2014_guide_interop/data/interop_zen_config_mgt.html
I don't like the run install.bat step, I need to improve on that, but
    it has worked for me.
