Open GroupWise archives without the user logged in?

Hi,
We have an admin nightmare, as we have archives going back to day 1 of GroupWise, and some of them are gigantic. We need to clear these up, and consider 'archiving the archives'. The problem we have is, we can't access these as admins, without the owner of the Archive logged into GroupWise.

So can we get around this? How can we access an archive if the user isn't a user anymore? Can you change the password of only the archive and force a login directly to the file path of the archive instead?

Many thanks, Alan

My sympathies. Consider doing away with (local groupwise) archies
entirely in the future. They're pointless.

    Right.

    Not easily, no,

Recreate the user with the same FID as the original one. There are TIDs
out there how to do this.

    Alas, No.

You may also want to take a look at Retain to replace your archives in
    the future.
