Time period for synchronizing Distributionlist with AD LDAP

Hello,

we have created a distribution list in groupwise with users who are allowed to use webaccess.
We've created the same group in our ActiveDirectory and linked the groupwise group to the AD Group.

Now to my question, if I add or delete users in the AD Group, I clicked always in the GroupWiseAdmin Site on "Synchronize" at the the distribution list, to synchronize the list with the active directory. Do I have to do this always manuell ? Will the distribution list synchronize with the LDAP Group in AD ?
If so, in which time periods it will synchronize automatically ? Can I change the sync. value anywhere ?

Regards,
D. O.
  • Hi,

In the Admin Console, go to your MTA, select the Scheduled Events tab. Here there should be one default task for "Directory User Synchronization". This will execute once per 24 hour period.

To have your synchronization run more regularly you will need to create additional tasks and adjust the schedule accordingly.

Let us know how it goes.

    Hello Laura,

at first thanks for the info :-)
But it does not work :-(

I've created 6 default tasks.... 8am, 10am, 12pm, 2pm, 4pm und 6pm..... I've deleted in the the active Direcory one user in the group...
But the user still exists in the Distribution List in GroupWise.... Have to synchronize manually....

I'm going to check all logs today, maybe I'll find anything why it does not work.

    Greetings from Cologne.
