Maximum email Sync Limit

We have a few Users that want more than 30 days of email sync. The documentation says I can increase it to a maximum of 2 years, now I know this will affect everyone on the server who has it set on their device that they want more than 30 days of email sync.

But what I want to know does this setting increase disk space on my datasync server.... because I increase maximum email sync from 30 days to lets say 1 year.

Serve currently has about 200 users.

I'm not really sure, though I don't think so.

What I would do is note how much disk space is used.
Saving the output "df -h" at the very least, optionally from the root
    "du -h --max-depth=1"
Then up that sync to 60 days, test that it has flowed to at least a
couple devices, then rerun those usage numbers and compare.
From that you should get an idea if it makes a difference or not and by
    how much.

I find the "du -hx --max-depth=1" command really good as a tool for
figuring out where space it being used on a given mount point. Start at
the root of the mount point and then run in the suspected folders,
    drilling down as needed.

Well, sure. If you sync 1 year of mail it will definitely increase your disk
    space requirements.
