Duplicating events with Samsung S6edge

After editing a calender entry in GroupWise, the event duplicates - but only with Samsung S6edge (Android 5 and 6); it does not duplicate in GroupWise; but it also duplicates an all other devices, which this user syncs mit Groupwise.
Any ideas?

We tried already:
- re-initalising the user on GMS
- deleting the user from GMS (after first sync - events are OK)
- deleting the account on the phone
- GW folder check with dsapp
- GW check
- .... can't remember everything (factory reset is not an option at the moment!)


We are running release 14.2.1 Build 270 on SLES 12 SP2
and we have 12 POAs, 442 users and 619 devices syncing

    I don't have any of our users on that unit, and haven't seen that
    behaviour, hence having held back hoping someone else would pop in.
    It may well be there is something specific on that unit, and some
    googling shows that this is the case. Digging into will take deeper dive
    that you can get with opening an SR, or ideally if you can manage a
    connection with Samsung about this.
    In the mean time it might be worth mentioning to your user community that
    this is a known issue with at least some of the Samsung devices
    with many calendar systems, not just GroupWise. (We say 'bug', I hope
    Samsung doesn't say 'working as designed')

    Same here with iOS. Deleten entry in GroupWise duplicates the calendar entry on the iPhone. Same for editing....

    Does the new HotPatch help you with this?

  • With iOS 10.2.1 and GMS 14.2.1 build 284 and a new file /opt/novell/datasync/syncengine/connectors/groupwise/lib/gwconnect/items/mapitemid.pyc we now have no issues anymore with the calendar on this moment.
