Messages not showing up in Mailbox, but are there in Find/Search


I have a user who has an empty hole in her GroupWise Mailbox from 6/29-9/19. The messages being displayed are missing all email between those two dates. However if you search for a message from that time, they all show up in the Find window. I have moved them to a folder (where they do appear) and then back to Mailbox but still nothing.



I have reset the Mailbox view to Default to no avail. I cannot see any filters in place, etc. Just very odd behavior I have yet to see in my 15 years working with GroupWise.

    Most likely a corrupt message. I have seen a similar issue once or
    twice. The solution I used was to move them back to the mailbox in
    batches to narrow down the problem to a specific email. Move half and
    see if the problem occurs, then try moving the other half. Keep
    narrowing it down.

  • Hi Mike,

    Do the "missing" mail appear in the Inbox in WebAccess? I also recommend you reset the display properties of the Mailbox back to default. (Right-click Mailbox --> Properties --> Display... etc. etc.)
