R2 client weirdness

Had a user notice the following situation:

If you're in a multi-user calendar (say in day mode), and you use the
nav bar to go to your inbox, then back to the calendar (via the nav
bar), the calendar does not go back to multi user view, but to kind of
a multi user week view, kind of a combined calendar.

Any way to make the client go back to the calendar view that was open
before when using the nav bar?

Or is this something that needs an SR?

  • Hi Stevo,

This is already a known bug in the client, if I am understanding your description correctly. As far as I am aware you can obtain a FTF version of the client via SR to address this.

    Cheers,

Weird, opened an SR, got an email asking what build I was on (both
client and server), then got asked to provide a video (screen capture)
    of the issue being replicated.

  • Hi Stevo,

Chuckle. I think that I am to blame for you being asked to provide a video. I have started creating screen capture videos for any issue that I wish to report. This illiminates miscommunication and misunderstanding. The joke is that it was whilst reporting the same thing as you, this calendar view issue, that I first submitted a video as folk didn't seem to understand what it was I was trying to explain to them.

So you've set a new precedent eh? Guess it does show exactly what's
going on, just can be a PITA doing if you don't have any screen cap
software. Be curious about what I hear back after submitting my
    'video'. :-)

So I got a reply back, apparently this is different than the issue you
showed them? This is being reported as a defect and being refered to
    engineering.

Perhaps they just wanted to hear more of your lovely accent.

  • Hi Stevo,

Perhaps take a look at Active Presenter as they have a free version of their screen capture software.

    Cheers,
  • Hi Stevo,

Any chance that they gave you the bug/defect number? If so please share.
