To-Adress in Sended-Folder

hello everyone,

we are using GW18.0.2

One of my users complains that only the name of the external recipient
appears in the sended folder as recipient and not additional the mail
address in angle brackets. Example: there is only Mickey Mouse and not
Mickey Mouse <mm@duck.com>.
She swears it worked that way with an older client.
Could it be that there was a change or is it a setting thing?

Thank you very much for an answer

    Ullrich,
I don't have an official answer, but my understanding is that it
depends on how it was sent. Looking at the v14 client, I see some
emails with "name <email>" and some with just "name". Checking the
properties or message source tabs shows me that what is displayed
matches the "From:" line. I have installed the 18 client and I don't
recall it being any different from that.

  • Hi Ken,

    thanks for your answer.

I see the <mailadress> in the incoming folder. Answering such a mail
shows the bracket still in the creation mode of the client. But after
sending it, in the outgoing folder there is only the name left, no
<mailadress>. So cause I see the bracket content in the incoming mail
    generally it is there.

    Regards
