Rule to detect internal messages from another post office

We have a user asking how to use a rule to detect all messages from
another post office. Our Post office's are aligned to business groups
with distinct internet domains, he is making a work flow to highlight
all of another groups incoming messages: User1.domain1 sends messages to
user2.domain2, user2.domain2 wants to automate categorizing the messages
with a red color category.

In the rule conditions, there is a "created by" field that list on the
sent items properties, but the 'Created' condition is date/time.

I tried RecordID condition as well, like "RecordID contains <poa name>"
using the post office name segment from the sent item properties "Record
Id: field. This doesn't work either.

What obvious thing am I missing?

You got me to play with this for a bit and I can't find anything that works
    either.

If no one else pops in here with a solution in the next day or so, it would
be very much worth it to request this as an enhancement in the Ideas portal
    https://ideas.microfocus.com/MFI/mf-gw
and then post the link for the Idea back here so that the rest of us can
join in to vote for it and/or other contributions to the idea

  • This would work if its external mail for sure. The issue is the POA to
POA (via MTA) messages that never are processed by GWIA do not use
    internet address form.

If there is nothing that the rules can key on, can you force users to
include their Internet email address (some other unique identifier) in
their signature that you can check?

    Thank you.
  • That would probably work, but I'm not sure there is enough momentum for
this to go to that extent.

I think I am most shocked that in 20 years of fielding GroupWise
questions that I have not already had this one come up.
