Move GroupWise 802 document libarary on Netware to Linux

I am in the process of moving GroupWise on Netware to GroupWise on Linux.

I have a new GroupWise system on Linux. I have GroupWise Document Libraries on Netware stored on an NSS volume on a SAN.

Is there any way that I can create a new Library in the new system and get it to pick up the documents on the SAN. I have access to the volume from Linux.

I have run a tool to convert to lower case, and have pointed the storage location to this directory.

i can see the library but it appears to be empty.

Thanks

  • check out the Caledonia guide to moving groupwise, it has extensive
information on Doc libraries that I have found invaluable.

If your doc libraries are current stored OFF the post office then Linux POA
isn't too happy about that, you can get it to work, as documented in above
    guide, but not recommended

we first moved our dms libraries from remote storage to stored at the PO as
    documented in TID 10100328

    we then migrated to Linux

if your GW stores are on NSS, it is possible to build a new Linux OES2
server, and mount your old NSS volumes and avoid the whole move issue, but
again it is not recommended, as discussed extensively in the above guide

really, it is worth the small outlay imho :-)

    best of luck
    Simon
