=?iso-8859-1?Q?GW14R2SP2=3A=A0New?= installation client does notshow Address Books

Good morning,

our customer reported an issue with the new installation (there is no
GW client installed already) of R2SP2 GW client on Windows 10 station.

After successful installation there are no Address Books available. But if
I write a message it is able to find e-mail addresses from address book.

The only solution we have found is full uninstall, run CleanIT utility
and then do new installation again. Address Books are available then as
usual.

If we upgrade old client version, there is no issue with Address Books,
everything is working fine right now.

Have you any advice or (better) what can we check? I have no such
experience yet with GW client.

Thanks,

-Jan

By any chance is Microsoft Office going on this system? If so was it
    installed first or second?
This sounds like a MAPI issue.

to connect to an old mail server.

Both Outlook and GroupWise use MAPI, and both supply different versions.
Search the systems for mapi*.dll and compare the dates of them between the
systems that work and those that don't. Pay close attention to the order of
    things being installed.
Usually the Outlook one is the more up to date one, while the one with
GroupWise is the newest that Microsoft allows Mirco Focus to include which is
an old one. There are many earlier threads in this forum discussing the
issue (search for MAPI) and how to deal with it that are worth reading.
If you can't find a pattern of installs where the initial install of the new
GroupWise client, then may be worth a service request.
