Mac mail hangs when meeting requests are received

Hi All,
We have a client with a number of osx clients (latest version.) Each OSX user is using mac mail and is connecting to a groupwise server.
If a windows client (groupwise) sends a meeting request to an OSX user mac mail hangs. The only way to resolve the hang is to delete the meeting request via webmail.
Not sure how to resolve this issue.

Thanx

Julian

It looks like IMAP is the supported method to work with CalDAV, not
POP, so that could be a part of the issue. Could you setup one of the
Macs as IMAP instead of POP and see if that makes a difference.

Also look at the logs for calhost as they may show some clues.
Which version of GroupWise are you running on this box?

  • Hi Andy,
Groupwise 14.2.2 is being used. Other users are using imap and don't seem to have a calendar issue.
I find it strange that email with an attached ics file seems to hang mac mail, until the email is deleted via webmail.

    Thanx
    Julian

Because mac mail is expecting the mail to be coming through IMAP, which is
not what you have. The fact that other users using IMAP are just fine is
another indicator to go that way.

If there is a problem, it is with mac mail, and that is the community that
you should be asking in as to why it can't handle CalDAV associated with
    POP?

The real question is why old style POP? IMAP is the logical pairing with
CalDAV, i.e. They sync with the server, where as POP is a one time suck
    per message.
