View Vibe Messages as Emails, Not Vibe Live View

So, as the subject implies, I'm trying to find out if there's a way to tell the GroupWise client to display emails sent from Vibe as emails, and not as a Vibe live view? Seems to me that the first time I installed my client, it ASKED me, and I would have chosen to display the live view. I find that it's takes a lot longer to display these emails when it accesses the Vibe interface - it's much faster when it's simply displayed as an email.

Thanks!

Jacques

I've noticed that subscription notification e-mails tend to be live
e-mails, but all other notifications are regular e-mails. Jacques have
    you seen this as well?

  • Hi Joe,

No, I haven't; I don't use subscription notices as much, but we do push emails out a lot from our Vibe system, especially from blog folders. It's just that I seem to remember that the first time I ran the clients and clicked on a Vibe email that GW asked me if I wanted to view them as an email or as a Vibe entry. Maybe I'm wrong, but it's in the back of my brain, somwehere!

I just ran into this today after having changed my GW/Vibe password
over the weekend. Because the GW client had my old Vibe password
saved, Vibe e-mails were showing up as just regular e-mails instead of
as Vibe messages with a yellow bar at the top of the e-mail saying
"show in Novell Vibe." Once I clicked that I was prompted to enter my
Vibe password and after doing so the e-mail was now displayed as a live
    Vibe message.

Since I had checked "save password" this setting now "stuck." The way
to undo this is to delete the Vibe folder from the GW client. The next
time you go into the client the Vibe folder will be recreated but your
password won't be saved so Vibe messages will display as regular
e-mails again. However this also means not being able to access Vibe
folders in the GW client. Looks like it's basically all-or-nothing
    with enabling GW/Vibe integrations.
