User gets only some emails, not all

Hello,

one User with a Lumia 900 has reported, that he doesn't get all emails anymore, since the mobility connector crashed 2 days ago.
He has about 60 emails in his inbox, but only 15 are synced.
I deleted and readded his account following https://www.novell.com/communities/coolsolutions/groupwise-mobility-trouble-shooting-best/
Then I followed https://www.novell.com/support/kb/doc.php?id=7007206 except the last part about Event notifications. There is no Event notification list link in the HTTP interface of the POA.

Is there sth. else I can do?

Michael
  • Edit: Now, the device is not yet added again. But I can see in the Webmin-UI, that again only 15 emails are waiting for sync.

What version of POAs are being connected to?
    What version of Mobility?
Are there any other users with that unit on the system or at least some
    with a similar OS?
Have you looked at the Mobility logs?

The Groupwise version we use is 8.0
    The Datasync has version 1.2.5.299
    The Groupwise-/Mobility-Connectors have version 1.2.5.4417
Unfortunately, this is the only device with Windows Phone OS.

Yes, I looked at the logs, but found nothing unusual, no errors.

Just 8.0? Not 8.0.2? You need to be on 8.0.2.

    At least 8.0.2
to get full version of your POA(the important part here) on Linux, use
    the following command.
    rpm -qa | grep group

Now the real question is, are those messages the most recent, the
oldest, or some mix? We might get a good clue from knowing that.

I think those versions you are on are at the minimum needed, but that
is tight. Hopefully Danita can confirm.

How long has this system been used? Perhaps some database maintenance
    is required.

  • I forgot to reply to the question, what emails aren't synced.
The newest emails are all synced, then there are ones that are not synced and older are not synced at all, like this:

    sync
    sync
    sync
    no sync
    sync
    no sync
    sync
    sync
    no more sync from here.

I did a database maintenance as mentioned last weekend, I guess for the first time ever.
But now even fewer emails are synced (9 of 32), although I initialized the user.

Have you gotten your maintenance to the point of no reoccurring errors?
There may still be a problem with this user's database that requires
specific GWCheck options to be run against it.

  • Might sound trivial but we have had this a few times and it seems to always be that the user has rearranged Folders within their GroupWise account.
By this i mean they may have The Calendar under the Mailbox, or Sent Items under the Mailbox, or Address Book under the Calendar etc......
The placement is important for some folders (Mailbox, Sent, Calendar, Contacts, Trash need to be in the root)
