Console One

Hi

I just wanted to check what is the latest version of Console One available for Windows and wanted to check if it can ran on Windows 2008 Server R2SP2. I'm only seeing 1.3.6h and
looking into the install guide it does not have Window 2008 server listed.

Please advise.

Thanks.
  • Currently ConsoleOne is only supported for groupwise administration

Aside from that the only version that would likely work on Server 2008 R2 would be the version that is supplied with the groupwise 8 / groupwise 2012 installation media, the standalone version from the Novell download website won't work as it looks for the old XP novell client

There may be subtle differences between win7 and win2008 R2 that may cause it to not work though as i've never installed it on server 08 R2 myself

If you're not using groupwise, use iManager instead
  • We use ConsoleOne for Groupwise and some eDirectory administration.
We are on Groupwise 2012 and wanted to move Console One on new server that has Server 2008 R2.
I'll give it a try it and see how it goes.
    Thanks for the reply.
  • The only version supported is 1.3.6H it is available on the GroupWise
distribution only. so download the latest GroupWise 2012 SP2. That is the
only version you should be using to manage GroupWise, in fact you shoudl
    lock out all previous versions.
