550 relay not permitted

I am gettting this message when we send an email to one of our vendors.

In looking at the MX record i get this

1 waveinc.net.aspmx.l.google.com {No A Record} 2 hrs
5 waveinc.net.alt1.aspmx.l.google.com {No A Record} 2 hrs
5 waveinc.net.alt2.aspmx.l.google.com {No A Record} 2 hrs
7 waveinc.net.aspmx2.l.googlemail.com {No A Record} 2 hrs 7 waveinc.net.aspmx3.l.googlemail.com {No A Record} 2 hrs
10 waveinc.net.s9a1.psmtp.com 74.125.148.10 2 hrs
11 waveinc.net.s9a2.psmtp.com 74.125.148.11 2 hrs
12 waveinc.net.s9b1.psmtp.com 74.125.148.13 2 hrs
13 waveinc.net.s9b2.psmtp.com 74.125.148.14 2 hrs

In looking at GWIA log I have this

06:00:11 440 DMN: MSG 1774900 Sending file: /opt/novell/groupwise/db/gwdom/wpgate/gwia/send/p3cdfdeb.261
06:00:12 440 DMN: MSG 1774900 Attempting to connect to waveinc.net.aspmx.l.google.com
06:00:12 440 DMN: MSG 1774900 Connected to [205.186.xxx.xx] (waveinc.net.aspmx.l.google.com)
06:00:12 440 DMN: MSG 1774900 Send Failure: 550 relay not permitted
06:00:12 440 DMN: MSG 1774900 Send Failure: 550 relay not permitted
06:00:12 440 DMN: MSG 1774900 SMTP session ended: [205.186.xxx.xx] (waveinc.net.aspmx.l.google.com)

The IP address of 205.186.xxx.xx is our website. Why is gwia trying to access the 205.186.xxx.xx instead of waveinc.net mail server.

Our server works perfect on all other emails.

I have to assume that's whyt your DNS server somehwo returns as A record
    in a regular query.

All other emails don't go out to such a weird setup mail domain (with
primary MX records without mathicng A record). One might even argue that
the DNS /MX record setup of the receiving domain is non- RFC compliant.
