Novell Client 2 SP3 for Windows 8

I was unable to delete a folder on my network drive.
I was seeing the following:

Folder Access Denied

You require permission from S-1-1-0 to make changes to this folder

Assets
Type: File folder
Date Modified: 12/2/2005 4:00pm

Try Again Skip Cancel

Oddly, I was the owner of the folder, I also have Novell Admin privileges.

I was able to delete items under the folder but not the folder itself.
When I checked permissions, Novell stated I had full control, but
Windows showed it marked as Read Only. When I unticked read only it asked
to apply to all sub files/folder so I selected okay. But if I opened the
permissions again it was still marked as read only.

Bizarre.

I successfully deleted the folder using an older version of Windows/Client.

The folder resided on NW 6.5 OES

Did you try Novell Client 2 SP3 IR1a?

Also, if you're unable to delete a folder using Windows Explorer, what
happens when you try it from a command prompt?

  • Corrected mistakes with dir name, since I am not able to copy paste at
    present. Sorry for any confusion.

Can you give that a shot to see if it fixes things?
