Changing BIOS and destroy boot …

Sorry, general question.
Lenovo ThinkPad T480s. We managed finally crypt disk ok (disable Secure Boot was hint from Craig which helped out). Now we played around in notebook BIOS (Ctrl-P didn’t work and also WOL) and … suddenly couldn’t boot into Windows anymore. Seems we restored BIOS settings back as it was, but … still no boot. (Complaining about winload.efi error.) Anyway, could changing/restoring BIOS settings destroy access to encrypted disk beyond repair!? Obviously changing settings could stop accessing, but I mean, even restoring settings … is that (to destroy) really so easy!? … Oh, bad admin.
More thanks, Alar.
