After reading the MicrosoftExchangePowerShellConfig.pdf guide I am a bit unsure of things. Is audit logging a prerequisite for installing the smart connector? I understood auditing to be separate from the normal logging done for a mailbox. After reading and rereading the guide several times, the way I am reading it now, is that you can capture the events using the smart connector without having auditing turned on. Can someone confirm?
