Summary
Some new appliances may not respond to Alt+F2 shortcut to access the Linux root shell via the Arcsight Admin Setup screen but will respond to Alt+F3.

Situation
On pressing Alt+F2 combination keys to access the Linux root shell, some appliances may not respond and may instead only respond to Alt+F3 which may not authenticate with default root credentials.

Cause
Hot Keys for Alt+F2 may not have been saved.

Resolution
Follow these steps to add Alt+F2 as a hot key

2) On the iLO's UI, click the 'Remote and Media' settings,

3) In the 'Hot Keys' tab, assign Alt and F2 to Key1 and Key2 fields under Ctrl+T configuration.

4) Save the changes, close any current iLO remote console and open a new one with HTML5.

5) Try accessing Linux OS console by pressing CTRL+T this time.

6) The Linux root shell should now appear.
