Fortify SSC v16 BugTracker Jira

Hi,

We are now setting up Jira plugin in Fortify SSC v16. When we are trying to test connection with JIRA ir shows an error:

Error occured during test: There is a problem during connection with JIRA server: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target

Does any of certificates needs to be set in Jira or it should be configurated?

Thank you,

Vaidotas

  • Hi Vaidotas,

You'll need to add either the CA certificate and any intermediate certificates that are used on the JIRA server or the leaf certificate from the JIRA server to the Java keystore where SSC is running.

The keystore you'll need to add to is usually at <JAVA_HOME>/jre/lib/security/cacerts on the machine where SSC is running, and the command to add a certificate to that store should be something like this:

keytool -import -alias <some string, e.g. JIRA> -keystore <path to cacerts keystore> -file <YourCertFile.cer> -trustcacerts

Once those are added, it should be possible for SSC to establish a connection with the JIRA server.

If you need any further assistance, I recommend opening a ticket with our support team -- email fortifytechsupport@hpe.com or login to https://support.fortify.com
