fresh install: Unable to connect to the server: EOF

Hi,
I installed identity intelligence by:

  1. # cd /install/ii1.1.2/
  2. # tar -zxvf identityintelligence-1.1.2.5.tar.gz
  3. # cd identityintelligence-1.1.2.5/
  4. # ./prepare-install-single-node-host.sh
  5. # ./install-single-node.sh
  6. # ./install-single-node-post.sh

But step 6 gave me:
[INFO] 09/07/20 14:48:15 Post Installation configuration.
[INFO] 09/07/20 14:48:15 Step 1: Create reboot guard.
Created symlink from /etc/systemd/system/shutdown.target.requires/reboot-guard.service to /etc/systemd/system/reboot-guard.service.
Created symlink from /etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/start-reboot-guard.service to /etc/systemd/system/start-reboot-guard.service.
[INFO] 09/07/20 14:48:16 Reboot guard created successfully.
[INFO] 09/07/20 14:48:16 Step 2: Label node.
Unable to connect to the server: EOF

Unable to connect to the server: EOF
[ERROR] 09/07/20 14:48:25 Label failure.

Did I miss a step? It's a clean installation on a freshly installed OS. Step 4 and 5 were running without errors (at least they didn't end with an error).

regards
Daniel

  • It looks like the OS might need updating.  I typically run a yum update after each install script and have also rebooted as well for good measure.  Maybe you can simply run one now and then do a reboot.  If that doesn't work than I would start fresh and run updates and do a reboot after each install script.

Also and this may not be your issue but make sure you have a reachable working DNS server.  Hosts file entries will not work in place of the DNS server.  Also confirm you are running supported OS.
