Change Password of OSP Proxy User

Hi,

by mistake the password of the user configured to act as the LDAP-Proxy
for OSP was changed (and the old one was not documented)

I know, that the password is set in a config file, but in encrypted
format!

Is there any chance to compute the value for the osp config file
(global.properties)?

Thanks!

    Greetings,
    You will need to:

    1) Stop Tomcat
    2) Launch configupdate and supply the new password for the account.
    3) Clear out the tomcat/work/Catalina and tomcat/temp directories
    4) Start Tomcat

  • Thanks for this information!

But somehow something went wrong here! Anything was working fine, but
for one or the other reason the password of the sspr proxy (pwdadmin)
was changed, from that point on Loginin to the web applications did not
work - so I was guessing that pwdadmin was configured for osp proxy as
    well.

But configupdate.sh only shows the real admin user!

    Greetings,
SSPR has its own Administration UI. What you are now outlining is
all within SSPR and not OSP. You should be able to login to the SSPR
    Configuration Editor and update it.

If you locked SSPR (so that not everyone sees the admin links), you
might have to disable the lock in the SSPRConfiguration file and then go
    into the Administration to update.

If you are still stuck, I would suggest that you post to the SSPR forums.
