Error while sending out email notification


Hi,


When i try sending out an email from the driver i get this particular
error

  • A lot of things may help us help you:

    1. Always post a level three trace from the engine showing the entire
    operation; the operation, coming from the engine, starts with the line
    'Start transaction'. You should be posting several KiBs, if not MiBs, of
    data depending on the operation.

    2. In your case, post the policy used to cause this. Sure, we know from
    the stack it's sending an e-mail from a template, but that doesn't help
    much since we're all doing that successfully every day.

    3. IDM version and patches. Which version (and maybe distro) of Linux
    are you running as the host? Which eDirectory version?

    4. Did this ever work? Does it work in a test environment? What steps
    did you follow (documentation, TID, CoolSolution, poking around) to get to
    this point?

    Wildly guess I'd speculate that you did not deploy the template properly,
    did not fill in the Default Notification Collection variables properly
    (SMTP server in particular) within the Security container (by default), or
    did not specify arguments needed to send the e-mail ('To' fields, for
    example).
