Using it, and have SessionIdleTimeOut="3600" in eDirApi.conf which looks to work. Remember the quotes around the value.

I run it as a container, and I have had to recreate the container to get it to accept changes to eDirApi.conf. Engineering do not know how to make containers out of applications, and make them work as one expect them to work.

Oh, it's seconds, not minutes?  So glad they explain that in the documentation (anyone else notice that the ability to leave documentation comments is gone?).  That was my problem!  I had tried with and without quotes but I was assuming it was minutes!

Yeah, the container implementation leaves a lot to be desired, especially with most people considering docker pretty much dead at this point. 

I really need to lower my expectations I guess!

I just checked and I have the ability to submit documentation comments.  Where were you unable to do it?

Interesting!  I didn't notice your link at the top of this thread.  I just knew we were in the eDirectory Discussion so I went to the eDirectory documentation and it has documentation comments all over the place.  But checking the Identity Console docs and they are completely missing it.  I'm assuming it is an accidental error and not intentional.  I'll see if I can get someone to do something about it.

I never read the documentation for it, I got the information via a support request.

Docker dead, that is news to me. The image format is the same across docker, podman, k8s, k3s, and so forth.

I always try and look in the documentation first because support is so overwhelmed.  I try not to waste their time if I can help it.

Not the image format, docker itself. They need to revise the docs as well on that and say use podman.

Now that I think about it, the option was not there when we reported it, I think it was against 1.60, which then became a feature in 1.70. Which probably is why I didn't see it in the documentation. 

Docker stacks, nothing beats it (maybe except for kubes), but we all have different opinions. I have had massive problems with podman due to the way it handles file permissions, which really messes with MF images.

RedHat no longer supports docker, they default to podman now.  Caught me by surprise when I was setting this up in a RedHat environment.

I'm not that big in this container space yet myself, so all this was surprising to me, but even my SuSE contacts all tell me docker is dead.
