How to Backup and Restore eDirectory 8.8 on Windows Server 2003?

Hello:

I am in a pretty old environment and I am curious how to backup and restore eDir 8.8 on windows?  I've gotten a backup to take and I think I've gotten roll-forward backups to take but I cannot verify this.  Additionally, I do I know if a restore has taken effect?
