Unable to start the driver .

Hi All,

We are migrating the identity manager from older version 4.8.5 to next version 4.8.7.

We tried to stop the drivers in old server and tried to start in the new server, but we could not start, we are the below error. Kindly assist

The following error occurred: com.novell.admin.common.exceptions.UniqueSPIException: Unknown meaning for error number -1473; Please call a NetIQ support provider

Generally there is more to the trace than this. Usually the Java Stack trace shows the function that threw the error at the very top, which is often a great hint. Sometimes you geta "Caused By" message which is even more useful.

Perhaps you could show more trace of the failure?

Casper Pedersen reminded me in email that this will only show if you are watching in ndstrace, with +DXML and maybe +DVRS switches enabled. The GUI will show the final error, but to see the error stack, you need to watch in ndstrace while you start the driver.

If your driver can generate logs when it tried to start - you are supposed to see more information about your specific situation. (I also can recommend to increase trace level to 10.

It can be a missing or incorrect/incompatible version of the specific JAR files, missing GSV, etc.
