The email address set as "Default Email Address" in Identity Reporting is not set as the From Address when sending emails from Identity Reporting.

NetIQ Identity Manager 4.8.2

Situation
In an environment where the following Identity Reporting parameter "Default Email Address" is set, the From address does not become this setting when sending an email.

Reporting tab > Email Delivery Configuration > Default Email Address

Resolution
Identity Reporting utilizes the following order to determine the from address:
1) The email address of person running the report
2) The default email address.
3) empty

"Default Email Address" is used if the user who generated the report does not have an email address.
