Situation
How to upgrade two servers of IDM 4.7.x Engine with Remote Loader to 4.8.x
One IDM Engine server is active, another is stand by.

Resolution

IDM Engine:
1 Take snapshot of the servers
2 Upgrade the eDirectory, IDM Engine, iManager on secondary server
3 Stop IDM drivers which are running on primary server and disable them using iManager
4 Start IDM drivers on secondary server using iManager with the option "Do Not Automatically Synchronize the Driver".
5 Upgrade the eDirectory, IDM Engine, iManager on primary server
6 Stop IDM drivers which are running on secondary server and disable them using iManager
7 Start IDM drivers on primary server using iManager with the option "Do Not Automatically Synchronize the Driver".

IDM Remote Loader:
1 Take snapshot of the server
2 Stop IDM Remote Loader
3 Upgrade IDM Remote Loader
4 Start IDM Remote Loader

NOTE:
If the secondary server has not been configured yet, you can use the "copy data" of the driver from iManager to copy the same configuration from primary server.
