External User Login Restriction

Hi,

Previously we are using edir as user store in NAM for external user authentication. Now we are moving to federation so that external user will authenticate with their respective LDAP password. so customer wants to restrict all the external user authentication using edir password. Can any one suggest how we can achieve this.
