Currently, our end users are also experiencing some problems with the NetIQ Auth app for Android.

Problem 1:
The NetIQ Auth app for Android crashes on startup (if the user already has an enrollment).

Problem 2:
The NetIQ Auth App gives an error message when scanning the QR for the purpose of enrollment.

It seems that a call to the aaf backend fails and this causes different behavior of the app (crash vs error message in the app).

Our Android users has same issue. Server version 6.3

Answer from support so far:

I have elevated this to Development as it seems to be a bug.
We have other customers with the same issue that started with the upgrade.
We do not expect this to work on Android 8 as it is not supported, but we have seen customer where it works on version 12 for instance, but not on 8.1, etc.

With the Android 3.2.0 release, NetIQ officially dropped support for any device below Android 10.  However it was decided to stop the roll out of the new version due to several customers having this issue with earlier versions.

Now you can only find available version 3.1.20.

If you need the APK  to reinstall it, please contact Technical Support so we can send you the file.

If a user removes the app they may need to work through their help desk to remove their enrolled authenticators. This is dependent upon configuration.
