After reading it I can not help but conclude
1) Cisco does not consider Novells eDirectory worthy of consideration as an enterprise Directory Service. Novell must be making up the numbers re IDM deployments etc etc. I can't imagine why anyone would want to use a proven scaleable, extensible, multiplatform, reliable Directory Service.
2) I have to wonder about the "boardroom" intent of CIscos' strategy here.
3) Cisco switches still do not support LDAP (secure or otherwise) as an authentication protocol, although in the Wireless realm their authentication server is capable of LDAP auth. ( More myopic CIsco thinking RADIUS till we die or we're currently working on CIsco Directory Services please hold !!)
4) In light of the free availability of information re LDAP with eDirectory Hmmmm !
What a crock !
