Database error while installing Identity Governance

Have entered the database credentials as per the attached document( Point No 23 on Page 15  ). Please refer the 1st screenshot for it.

However still getting the error( 2nd screenshot). Shall I uncheck "Test Connection" and proceed ? The error(2nd screenshot) says, other database error may be encountered if "Test Connection" is disabled.

Please provide a resolution for this issue.

    Greetings,

    1) What is the exact version of ID Gov that you are trying to install?

    2) Are you installing on Linux or Windows?

    3) Where did you install the Postgres server (on the same machine or remote)?

    4) The URL in the error outlines ig.xfdemo.com
4.a) Is that resolvable from where you are running the installer?
4.b) Have you confirmed that there is no firewall running?
4.c) Have you confirmed that you can use either pgAdmin or psql (command line) to connect to the Postgres database server with the ID and Password you are supplying?

Do not continue with the installer until the connection to the Postgres Database Server has been resolved. The schema create will fail, which will cause the installation to fail

    5) It appears you have attached a document that I do not believe should be shared. Please remove it for now.

Hi Steven.. Apologies for uploading the training document. I was not aware about the community guidelines. Will avoid it going forward.

Please see below my responses in line for your questions

What is the exact version of ID Gov that you are trying to install? - 3.7.2

    2) Are you installing on Linux or Windows? - Linux. During Identity Governance installation, in the initial steps the file name was mentioned as  identity-governance-install-3.7.2-ALPHA-2-linux.bin

    3) Where did you install the Postgres server (on the same machine or remote)? - Have been provided the lab link to access the remote desktop connection. Hostname being used for IG installation is ig.xfdemo.com

    4) The URL in the error outlines ig.xfdemo.com
4.a) Is that resolvable from where you are running the installer? - Not able to resolve it. However able to install One SSO provider using the computer ig.xfdemo.com.
4.b) Have you confirmed that there is no firewall running? -  Windows defender firewall status is "on" in the remote machine.
4.c) Have you confirmed that you can use either pgAdmin or psql (command line) to connect to the Postgres database server with the ID and Password you are supplying? -  This instruction is not given in the Lab training document. In the document under "Database details" section, for the input field "Administrator User field" it was mentioned to put "postgres"( this is already present in the screen), the password and check "Test enable connection".

If I uncheck "Test enable connection" I am able to proceed to next step, however success pop window is not shown in this case as per the document.

Request your support for the early resolution of this issue. Lab access is for this week only.

Kindly let me know in case any additional information is required.

Hi Elizabeth... I am facing the below issue in Exercise 3 — Confirm Operational Status of Identity Governance under Lab 2 - installing Identity Governance Components.

Getting the below error in step 10(  Once Firefox is open, click the shortcut for Identity Governance Console or simply wait a few
minutes. The Identity Governance Console should be your homepage. After the server boots
up, sometimes it may take a minute or two to initialize.) under Exercise 3.

Had successfully installed Identity Governance Components as part of Exercise 2 and also done the below steps as part of Exercise 2 -

Please provide a resolution for this issue.

    Greetings,
The Discussions section of this community is not the correct area to receive help for the Academy classes. There is a different site for that, which you should have been provided access to. Please post your question there. If you were not provided access, please utilize the private chat/note functionality of this site to contact Elizabeth (Eknappen) as outlined above.
