Micro Focus is pleased to announce the release of NetIQ Identity Manager Driver for SCIM 1.0. This new driver enables fast and simple integration with applications that support the SCIM standard. Customers who are licensed for the NetIQ Identity Manager Integration Module for Tools are entitled to the new SCIM driver at no additional cost.

What is the SCIM standard?

The System for Cross-domain Identity Management (SCIM) is a standards-based method for managing user identities in cloud-based applications and services. It is designed to make it fast, cheap, and easy to move users in to, out of, and around the cloud. The SCIM standard has been adopted by many cloud application vendors, such as SAP, Keeper, and Salesforce.

What does the Identity Manager Driver for SCIM do?

The SCIM driver enables Identity Manager customers to govern and provision to SaaS and internal applications quickly and easily, without requiring custom development and a complex integration.

Key capabilities include:

• SCIM 2.0 compliance to support out-of-the-box connections and provisioning to SCIM-compliant applications.
• Flexible configuration via SCIM and REST interfaces to manage variations from the SCIM standard and additional resources such as roles and entitlements.
• Bidirectional support and near-real-time synchronization via SCIM endpoints on the Subscriber channel and polling-based synchronization on the Publisher channel.
• Support for use cases such as provisioning of user accounts for a Community of Interest (COI).
