Doesn't substitute login via telnet

Hello! I am using PAM over telnet to access switches. When I load the java applet and go through authorization, I am thrown to the switch, but for some reason the password of the user that I set in the rule is not substituted. You have to enter your login manually, after which the password is automatically substituted. Ssh works without problems. How to make telnet login automatically substituted?

I suspect the username login prompt for ssh where it works vs telnet where it is not with just this specific type of switch might differ and explain the failure to automatically inject the username part of the credential. It may need some investigation from Support to validate configuration and to take a look for Engineering on it in case there is something we can replicate.
